Julia Higueras is a professional specialized in Communication and Marketing.
She completed her studies in London and Miami, having attended numerous
courses specialising in Public Image, Oratory, Audiovisual Communication and
Publicity production. Her desire for learning others points of view and
perspectives of journalistic communication encouraged her to take up residence
in the United States where she worked for 24 Hours of Telemundo Channel, and
to collaborate with prestigious international media.
During her intensive professional life, she has worked for the Europa Press News
Agency, was scriptwriter for television, copywriter, editor in chief for the general
news agencies Cover (Magnum, Contact), Prensa Madrid and Noticia as well as
editor in chief for the 24 hours Telemundo Channel.
Later, she began working on her own as collaborator for renowned national and
international communication media making their covers: Blanco y Negro, Blanco
y Negro Mujer, Mujer Hoy, El Semanal, Interviú, La Mirada, Dominical, Mía, Muy
Saludable, Línea Saludable, Man, Unica, Lecturas, AR, Maxim, GQ, Marie Claire
and Hola, Hello, Chi, Paris Match, Gala, Miami Herald, Ohlà, In Style,
Lecturas,etc.
She has been a consultant and a specialised trainer in Social Communications
Media.
In 2009 creates the magazine ANOCHE TUVE UN SUEÑO, a new philosophy, a
new journalism: human, solidary, ecological, cooperative and independent, and
the International Committed Optimistic Awards for nurturing the heart and mind
of the Global Community.
Also, She is a founding partner of Círculo de Orellana
(www.circulodeorellana.org) and Women Action Sustainability
(www.wasaction.com).
She is the director and host of the radio programs Anoche tuve un sueño and
WAS Action for an audience of more than 80,000 people.
She has contributed to the recently published book Women in different
sectors of activity in Spain (Las Mujeres en distintos sectores de actividad en
España), book with foreword by the vice-president of the government, Nadia
Calviño.
